Modern Metal Academy memberships renew automatically based on your chosen billing cycle. This ensures uninterrupted access to lessons, workshops, challenges, the advanced video player, and community features.
This article explains how monthly and annual renewals work, when charges occur, and how to manage your renewal settings.
Automatic Renewals
All memberships renew automatically unless cancelled.
This applies to:
Ignite Monthly
Masters Monthly
Masters Annual
Renewal dates are based on the day you joined or last upgraded your plan.

Monthly Membership Renewals
Monthly plans renew every month.
On your renewal date:
Your saved payment method is charged
Your access continues automatically
No action is required on your part
If the charge fails, the system will retry automatically (see billing failures below).
Annual Membership Renewals
Annual plans renew once per year.
On your renewal date:
The full annual amount is charged
Your next year of access begins immediately
You will receive reminder emails before renewal (if email notifications are enabled)
Annual plans offer the best value and additional premium features for Masters members.
Failed Renewal Payments
If your renewal payment fails:
The system automatically retries the charge
You may receive an email notifying you of the issue
Some content may temporarily lock until payment succeeds
To fix a failed payment, update your card here:

Once updated, access usually returns instantly.
Changing Your Plan Before Renewal
If you want to switch plans (upgrade or downgrade), do so before renewal to ensure the correct amount is billed.

Downgrades begin on your next renewal date.
Cancelling Renewals
If you cancel your membership:
Your access continues until your current billing period ends
You will not be charged again
Your account will remain active at your cancellation date but your premium access will end
You can cancel anytime from your account or by contacting support.
Reminder Emails (Annual Plans)
Annual members typically receive renewal reminders before their billing date.
If you are not receiving emails:
Check spam/junk
Enable notification emails in account settings:

Legacy Plans & Old Pricing
If you are on a legacy plan or older pricing tier:
Your renewal will follow the original price
If you switch plans, you will move to current pricing
